Our Story
Believe it or not, Courage & Grace started as a hobby. Carolyn, our Founder, is an accomplished cook and athlete fascinated with food and body care, and she wanted to learn how to make soap. But that was just the start.
After surviving cancer, she became increasingly aware of her health, and was drawn to products with high quality, natural ingredients. In particular, she says, "I realized there was a need for a muscle rub that focused on better ingredients."
That meant using ingredients that were beneficial to both skin and body, including jojoba oil, olive oil, cocoa butter, arnica, and much more. And it worked. It worked so well that a friend who owns a yoga studio asked if she could sell it in her shop. Other products developed from there, starting with deodorant.
"There is so much junk on the market -- effective but not something you want to apply to your skin daily."
In contrast, Courage & Grace goes as far as importing the highest quality magnesium oil in the world from Western Europe, which is from the original ancient source.
Today, Carolyn is a competitive bodybuilder and a member at her local Crossfit gym. As the President of Courage & Grace, she is dedicated to helping other athletes just like her train harder, recover faster, and achieve their full potential.
Our Founder
Carolyn has always been enthusiastic about proper nutrition, fitness, and natural care. She was a two-time competitor in women’s college swimming nationals. A cancer-survivor, she is now an active powerlifter, winning the Bronze Medal in her class at the USA Powerlifting National Championship in Spokane, WA in 2018 and currently holds several state records. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and is certified in Active Release Techniques (ART).

Iron Sisters
Courage & Grace supports several strength camps and seminars as they train and inspire hundreds of women of all ages to be strong and be fit. Here at the Iron Sisters weekend seminar in Port St. Lucie, FL, Carolyn got to meet two AMAZING women: Jen Thompson (left), and Kimberly Walford (center). Both world record holders for bench press (Jen) and deadlift (Kimberly). If you enjoy powerlifting and have the opportunity to attend a training camp, DO IT.
At many US training camps, Courage & Grace provides gift bags for every attendee as their way of encouraging and supporting strong women.
